GT3 Racing with Britain’s top Ferrari team FF Corse.

Following on from their success in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, where they finished as the leading Ferrari with driver Gary Eastwood, the British based team are offering interested parties the chance to sample their 458 GT3.

During the 2014 Season the team were a constant presence at the front of the field, achieving a dominant win at Rockingham and three further podium finishes at Snetterton, Spa and Donington Park.

With an announcement due in the coming weeks regarding the teams 1st car, FF Corse are keen to field a multi car line up, and while the team has already had interest in drivers looking to firm up their 2015 plans, the team are keen to meet drivers or existing pairings looking at British GT for the coming season. With this in mind the team have arranged a sampler test day, which will take place at Donington Park on October 23rd 2014.

The event is aimed at drivers looking to make a decision for the racing plans for 2015 and is split between three drivers, or three existing driver pairings. With one place already confirmed on the first sampler test day, FF Corse invite interested parties to contact them on racing@ffcorse.com to register their interest in attending the event.

GT Cup Championship Success At Oulton Park

photo 1

John Seale & Jamie Stanley secured the GTC Class Championship of GT Cup at Oulton Park on Saturday.

The FF Corse drivers secured the Championship at the weekend, after a season long battle that went right down to the wire.

The season almost ended in disaster when a start-line incident eliminated a number of cars, narrowly missing the FF Corse Ferrari 458 Challenge. The car, being driven by Jamie Stanley, had to take swift avoiding action, heading onto the grass to miss the accident. At the restart things were much calmer and the car ran to a more sedate 2nd place finish in class to seal the 2014 title.

During the year the pairing took 7 race wins between them and showed great consistency to finish 19 of the 20 races.

John Seale will now take part in the Britcar Trophy races at Donington this weekend (3x 30 minute races). John will be joined alongside by FF Corse drivers, David Mason and Calum Lockie, who will be racing their Ferrari 458 Challenge for Championship honours in the Britcar Endurance Championship, (featuring 1x 90 minute day race & 1x 90 minute night race).

2 Championships in 2 weeks for FF Corse drivers

photo
David Mason & Calum Lockie sealed the overall Britcar Endurance Championship at the weekend, making it two Championships in two weeks for FF Corse drivers.

After 14 separate races and 21 hours of racing, the pairing won the Championship by a single point at the Donington decider.

The final races were not without their dramas, as a pump failure in race 1 (during Calum Lockie’s stint) forced David Mason to complete half of the 90 minute race without the aid of power-steering.

The second race was held at night and a faultless performance saw the #26 car win the GTC class and finish second overall, which was enough to win the overall Championship (along with the GTC Class Championship).

As part of the Championship winning prize David has won a free entry to the Britcar 24hr race, to be held at Silverstone in April and the team is now considering their options.

In addition to the Championship winning races, newly crowned GT Cup GTC Class Champion, John Seale, was making his debut in the GT Trophy Series and duly took a hat-trick of overall race wins in the three 30 minute races. John’s 100% record takes the overall tally of FF Corse race wins to 21 for the season (so far) and 95 overall.

2014 Racing Review

2014 was another glistening year for FF Corse with the team winning the 2014 Britcar Endurance Championship with David Mason & Calum Lockie, along with The 2014 GTC Class of The GT Cup Championship with the driver pairing of John Seale & Jamie Stanley.

The FF Corse team also had a credible finish in The British GT Championship with Gary Eastwood taking a win at Rockingham  and finishing as the highest placed Ferrari driver, for the second year running.

Sam Smeeth turned in a couple of stunning performances in The European Ferrari Challenge, including a class win at Spa and an overall win at The  Silverstone Ferrari Racing Days event in September, this despite being hampered by a severe lack of budget.

FF Corse rounded of the season with Gautam Singahnia competing in the Ferrari Challenge World Finals in Abu Dhabi, scoring his first Challenge podium finish in only his second time of participating in the Championship. 2015 will again see FF Corse compete with multiple cars and drivers in both UK and European competitions.
