2006 Ferrari 430 Challenge

2006 Ferrari 430 Challenge

Previously part of an extensive private race car collection this stunning Ferrari 430 Challenge is fully maintained and ready to race.

Ferrari created the F430 Challenge, a track-only variant of the hugely popular F430 boosting its on circuit performance by extensive weight reduction and suspension changes.

Just like in previous Ferrari Challenge cars the engine has largely remained the same as on the production road cars. The F430 challenge does, however, breathe a little easier by means of a racing exhaust system. Some engine management tweaks and fine blueprinting increase the power too.

The body styling received relatively few changes with just the Formula One-inspired single centre lock BBS wheels although this example does benefit from an additional aero package.

Prior to sale the car has undergone a full check over, fire extinguisher service, brake service,electrical check and air jack service.

2003 Ferrari 360 Challenge

Originally purchased by a private owner who used the car only briefly before changing hands and used between 2009 to 2015 for a handful of track days at Spa, Goodwood, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Silverstone and Snetterton and was managed by Ferrari race specialist F.F. Corse (Silverstone) who looked after the car with a no expense spared approach.

After that the car became part of a private race car collection and stored without further use.

2002 Ferrari 360 Challenge

A rare and collectable race ready Ferrari Challenge car presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition.

Having had only relatively light use from new, this Ferrari 360 Challenge has a bodywork upgrade with the aerodynamic package from the Ferrari 360 N-GT, revised front and rear bumpers, a prominent front splitter, and a large carbon-fibre rear wing. The car sits on a set of lightweight 18-inch BBS Challenge alloys, fastened with titanium wheel bolts.

A range of modifications over the standard 360 Modena make the Challenge model a well-honed track car. The 3.6-litre, 410 bhp F131B V8 is blueprinted, micro-finished, and sits on uprated engine mounts. Its gearbox also features an upgraded transmission control unit that enables faster upshifts, as well as a racing clutch with lightened flywheel. Uprated and stiffer suspension components are fitted throughout, including multi-way adjustable dampers with ride-height setting adjustment.

In the cabin, interior trim covers, door panels, and the standard glass windows are all removed, along with the sound-deadening material. In their place are a lighter front windscreen and rear glass, Lexan polycarbonate side window panels with slide openings, and carbon-fibre inner door panels with pull cords. There are FIA-approved fuel tanks, a bolt-in roll cage, and two fixed bucket racing seats with multi-point harnesses. Ahead of the driver is an OMP three-spoke racing wheel and LCD instrument panel, and a fire suppression system is also installed. The Challenge model works out to be around 115kg lighter than a standard 360 Modena.

The bodywork of this car is in excellent condition, showing no panel damage, having previously had a full respray in Rosso Corsa, and presents very well overall.
Both the front bonnet cover and rear engine lid have quick-release style fastening pins, and the adjustable rear wing and struts are in very good order. Both doors fit flush to the body, and the release mechanisms are working as they should. The carbon-fibre inner panels have no cracks or chips, and they are complemented by the full carbon-fibre transmission tunnel console. An OMP Champ-R bucket seat is fitted and is in good order.

Recently subject of a significant investment including new FIA compliant fire suppressant system, airjack service, 8 x new coil packs and plugs, new wheel bearings and correct titanium studs, new oil cooler, brackets, and hoses, SD2 software check at Graypaul Ferrari, rolling road check with RnR Performance, track test, exhaust manifolds newly ceramic coated.

This Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge is a thrilling racer, which is eligible for a wide range of competitive events, including the Ferrari Club Racing Series and the Bell Sport Challenge Series. Unlike their preceding 348 and 355 Challenge models, Ferrari’s 360 Challenge variant was designated for competition use only from the outset. Whilst the previous two models had relied upon individual Ferrari main dealers upgrading existing road-legal cars by means of a factory-supplied competition pack, the 360 Challenge was built in Maranello as a race car.

Powered by a largely standard version of the road car’s 410 horsepower 3.6-litre V8 engine, the 360 Challenge tipped the scales at almost 200 kilograms less than standard, resulting in a significantly improved power-to-weight ratio. Safety enhancements included a plumbed-in automatic fire extinguisher system and an FIA-approved safety fuel cell equipped with twin fillers.
