Tom started in karting at the age of 13, and showed tremendous talent from the start. During his first season he performed incredibly well in corporate karting, winning every race apart from one, and setting lap records along the way.
Clearly capable of competing at a higher level, Tom progressed up the karting ladder quickly from corporate karting all the way to professional karting world championships. Tom saw his best success in the UK collecting numerous Champion and Vice Champion accolades.
Working with FF Corse
In 2022, Tom met with FF Corse to discuss embarking on the journey from karts to cars.
FF Corse coached and guided Tom through the process of sitting his ARDS test, qualifying him to obtain an FIA racing licence. On his debut in a Radical SR1, Tom achieved two P1 finishes in the rookie class and was placed in P2 overall. It was an impressive start, and Tom quickly progressed to a Radical SR3, winning his first race against far more experienced rivals.

Having shown talent in junior sports cars, the management team at FF Corse felt that Tom may need to progress further to find his level. Tom’s performance suggested that he would immediately be competitive therefore he was entered into the top class of Ferrari Challenge Europe in the PRO Class, against former champions and ex-F1 drivers.
Tom’s testing in the FF Corse Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo at Silverstone produced impressive lap times, which combined with his results in car racing to date dictated that Tom should contest his first season in the PRO class.
His debut season in Ferrari Challenge Europe was impressive, finishing 2nd overall in the championship standings. Tom rounded off his stunning progression from karter to Trofeo Pirelli Ferrari Challenge World Champion by winning the Finali Mondiali at Mugello in October 2023. In doing so, Tom became the first driver ever to become Ferrari World Champion in his rookie season.
