2025 GT3 Programmes
The British GT Championship is the most prestigious National championship in the UK catering for GT4 and GT3 cars. This highly competitive championship draws crowds each weekend and receives a great deal of media interest both across the internet and television.
The championship caters for both professional and gentleman drivers, with multiple classes to suit any pairing.
Pro/Am driver crews are the bedrock of British GT. These consist of professional drivers graded as Silver (or higher) and amateur/gentleman drivers graded as Bronze.
Driver line-ups comprising two FIA Silver graded drivers are no longer be permitted to race in British GT3. Instead, a Silver-Am class – first trialled in 2016 – was added to the existing Pro-Am and Am-Am classifications in 2021.
Variables within the FIA’s grading criteria mean not all Silver drivers automatically qualify for British GT’s Silver-Am classification. Instead, the Silver element will typically comprise promising but less experienced young drivers, GT4 graduates or those likely to contribute some budget when paired with a Bronze-graded amateur.
CEO and founder of FF Corse Anthony Cheshire says, “We are so excited to get back to GT3 racing after a few years away but we’ve had plenty of success at this level, and our in house preparations are well underway. The 296 GT3 is a very impressive car, which has been beautifully engineered and put together by Oreca, and is already proven to be highly competitive.
British GT represents the highest level of endurance motorsport in the UK, with so many supercar manufacturers represented on its grid and such a highly competitive pool of driving talent. We’ve enjoyed race wins in British GT before and have always kept one eye on the UK scene, despite our busy European schedule.
